Brewed with Lapsang Souchon tea.
The word ‘Siren' might make you think of the sea seductresses from Greek mythology that lured men into the deep of the ocean, and likely laughed as they drowned.
But this is a much more every-day type story about proletarian women having one another's back and cheering each other on.
We may be elbow deep in spent grains, spattered with yeast and hops that likely won’t get washed out of our hair for a few days, or sitting at home due to being unfairly let go, it doesn't matter.
For every BS scenario, women in beer all seem to have one thing in common: lifting each other up.
It may not seem like much, but through the ruthlessness of an unfriendly industry, empowering one another is a super power they are more than happy to share. Be it deep in the (drain) trenches, behind (dirty) enemy lines, under heavy attack, no one gets left behind.
This Barley Wine is a celebration of badasses sticking together through good or bad, for better or for worse, come sunshine or Doomsday.
A huge shout-out to Lee Lord and Narragansett for the opportunity to collaborate on this one.
This beer is made as a collaboration with Narragansett Beer, Providence, RI, USA.
